NanoClaw brings on-demand agent teams to Slack's Add to Slack

Today, Slack, a Salesforce company, launches Add to Slack, a one-click way for anyone in a workspace to securely deploy third-party AI agents and work with them directly in their channels. NanoClaw is a launch partner, and it adds a capability that goes beyond a single assistant: agents that build and coordinate their own teams.

With Add to Slack, NanoClaw does something no assistant in Slack has done before: an employee asks their agent for a team, and the agent builds one on the spot. Ask for a crew and it stands up the agents the project needs, a content writer, a developer, a designer, each with its own avatar, persona, skills, and isolated container. They join the channel, the lead agent delegates, and they build together in a shared Canvas. The agents reply only when tagged, so there is no echo loop, and when the person comments on a draft, the feedback routes to whichever agent wrote that piece.

Agents deployed in a workspace today generally operate as individual, pre-built assistants. NanoClaw introduces multi-agent teams that form on demand from a single request and collaborate in the open, in the channels where the work already happens.

Add to Slack connects AI creation platforms directly to a Slack workspace. The core of it:

• Agents in a minute. Connect NanoClaw to your workspace once. From then on, ask for an agent and it’s provisioned on the spot with its own name, avatar, and persona, ready to work.
• In-the-flow collaboration. Agents work where your team already does. Anyone in a conversation with the agent’s owner can mention and task it directly, and it follows the discussion so it stays current without replying to everything.
• Multi-agent teams. One request stands up a whole team. The agents share a room with the people they work for and keep a shared Canvas current with tasks, decisions, and deliverables.
• Built for admin trust. Every agent is its own Slack app with its own identity and token, running on your infrastructure, revocable one by one. Standard app approval applies, and all agents request the same published scope set, so admins review the platform once, not every agent.
